Upon arrival in Kenya, you will be met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by a professional driver-guide from Africa Veterans Safaris Ltd. After a brief introduction and safari briefing, you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi.

Upon arrival at the hotel, you will check in and have the rest of the day at leisure to relax after your journey.

Overnight stay at Boulevard Hotel on a Bed and Breakfast basis.

After breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, you will begin your safari journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive takes you through the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, descending the escarpment to the valley floor while enjoying spectacular panoramic views along the way.

You will arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch at your selected campsite or lodge.

Often referred to as a “Bird Watcher’s Paradise,” Lake Nakuru is world-famous for its large flocks of pink flamingos that gather along the lake’s shores. The park is also home to over 400 bird species. In addition, the park hosts an important rhino sanctuary established to protect both black and white rhinoceros, whose populations have declined significantly in recent years.

In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting game drive exploring the park’s diverse habitats and attractions, including Makalia Falls and Baboon Cliff. As you explore, you may encounter herds of herbivores such as buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, and waterbucks grazing across the plains, while predators like lions and hyenas roam nearby.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha

After a hearty breakfast at your lodge in Lake Nakuru National Park, you will depart and continue your safari to Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake located in the Great Rift Valley.

Upon arrival in Naivasha, you will head directly to Hell's Gate National Park, one of the few national parks in Kenya where visitors are allowed to explore on foot or by bicycle. The park offers a unique and active safari experience where you can walk through the park, ride mountain bikes, enjoy rock climbing, and explore the scenic picnic sites.

One of the main highlights of Hell’s Gate is its impressive gorges, where you can walk through towering rock formations and observe natural geothermal activity with warm streams flowing through the canyon floor. During your visit, you will have lunch at one of the designated picnic sites within the park while enjoying the dramatic landscape and wildlife that roam freely in the area.

After exploring Hell’s Gate, you will proceed to Lake Naivasha for a relaxing boat ride lasting approximately 1 to 2 hours. The lake is famous for its rich birdlife and large populations of hippos, making it an excellent location for bird watching and photography.

Later in the evening, you will head to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will check out of your campsite or lodge at Lake Naivasha and depart for the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. The drive takes you across the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, passing through rural towns and vast open plains as you head toward Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife reserve.

You will arrive at the Maasai Mara in time for lunch at your campsite or lodge. After enjoying lunch and a short rest, you will embark on an extensive afternoon game drive through the reserve, continuing until around 6:30 PM.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is renowned for its incredible concentration of wildlife and is considered one of the best safari destinations in the world. During the game drive, you will have the opportunity to spot a wide variety of animals including lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, and many other species. If you are lucky, you may witness dramatic wildlife moments such as lions competing over a fresh catch or predators stalking their prey on the open savannah.

After the game drive, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, prepare for an extensive full-day game drive in the magnificent Maasai Mara National Reserve, often referred to as the true “Home of Nature.” Located north of Serengeti National Park, the Maasai Mara forms part of the greater Mara–Serengeti ecosystem and is one of the most spectacular wildlife destinations in the world.

The reserve is famous for hosting The Great Migration, one of nature’s most dramatic wildlife spectacles. Between July and early September, millions of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and antelopes migrate across the vast plains in search of fresh grazing, often crossing the famous Mara River while predators wait nearby.

During the day, you will explore different areas of the reserve in search of its rich wildlife. The Maasai Mara is home to an incredible variety of animals including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, hyenas, and numerous species of antelope. It is also common to witness thrilling predator-prey interactions such as cheetahs chasing an impala across the savannah.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild, surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife of the reserve before continuing with the afternoon game drive.

Later in the day, you may arrange with your driver-guide to visit a traditional Maasai village. This cultural visit provides a unique opportunity to learn about the traditions, lifestyle, and customs of the Maasai community, including their traditional dances, homes, and way of life.

After the day’s adventure, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Maasai Mara – Return to Nairobi

After an early breakfast at your camp or lodge, you will embark on a short morning game drive, taking one last opportunity to spot wildlife in the Maasai Mara. The fresh morning light often brings animals out in activity, making it a perfect time to capture memorable sightings and photos.

After the morning drive, you will depart for Nairobi, traveling through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, there will be a stop for lunch at a campsite or local restaurant, allowing you to relax and reflect on the incredible wildlife experiences of the past few days.

You will arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon and enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant before being transferred back to your hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will check out between 10:00 and 10:30 a.m. and have the option to enjoy local excursions in Nairobi before your departure. You may choose from several experiences:
  1. Elephant Orphanage & Giraffe Center – Visit the famous David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage (strictly 1-hour visit from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) and the Giraffe Center, where you can feed and interact with the gentle giraffes. Cost: USD 40 per person (entrance fees included, sharing transport).

  2. Kiambethu Tea Farm Tour – Explore the tea plantation, learn about tea cultivation and processing, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Guided by local experts, this tour includes entrance fees, transport, and lunch. Cost: USD 65 per person (sharing transport).

  3. Paradise Lost Coffee Estate – Stroll through manicured lawns, view the scenic man-made dam, and learn about coffee cultivation with a guided lecture. Cost: USD 40 per person (entrance fee included, sharing transport).

After your selected excursion, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in time for your flight, allowing at least 2–3 hours for check-in and boarding.

This marks the end of your Kenyan safari adventure, leaving you with unforgettable memories of wildlife, landscapes, and cultural experiences.
