Kenya is 5199m high, which makes it the second-highest mountain in Africa. The mountain is eroded with snow-capped peaks which can be seen from a far-off distance. Mt Kenya has a symmetrical volcano cone with a diameter of 12 Km; it dates back to between 2 to 3 million years ago. Mt Kenya has 3 peaks namely: Lenana, Mbatian, and Nelson. The mountain has a very significant view and the forest supports a good number of animals including the zebras, giant forest hogs, rock hyrax, monkeys, antelopes, and different types of birds.

Itinerary
DAY 1 Departure from Nairobi
Departure from Nairobi at 0800 hrs (where you will either be picked-up from your hotel or at the airport) and driven to Nanyuki.You; we will stop shortly at the equator and then continue to Nanyuki, where you check in to your hotel. The afternoon is spent preparing for the hike. There will be a complimentary walking tour to the equator. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the Nanyuki Simbas lodge.
DAY 2 Sirimon Gate
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Sirimon Gate and hike to Old Moses camp for to stay overnight (3300m) - 3 to 4 hrs hikes (9kms). On your way to Old Moses, you will come across different vegetation.
DAY 3 Shipton's camp
After breakfast, guests will hike to Shipton's camp (4200m) through Liki and Makinders valleys for an overnight stay (6 to 8 hrs hikes) - 17 kms.
DAY 4 trip to Point Lenana
This day will include a trip to Point Lenana (4985m) at 0300 hrs and then a descent directly to Old Moses (Judmair) Camp for an overnight stay.
DAY 5 Sirimon Park Gat
After breakfast, we will descend to Sirimon Park Gate to catch your vehicle to your next destination.
