Day 1: Nairobi- Chogoria

After breakfast, we will depart from the Park Side Hotel in Nairobi and begin our journey to Chogoria, a scenic town located on the eastern slopes of Mount Kenya. The drive takes approximately 3 to 3.5 hours, passing through beautiful countryside landscapes.

Upon arrival in Chogoria, we will proceed to the Transit Hotel where you will enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, you will take a leisurely walk around the town for acclimatization and to get familiar with the local surroundings.

Later in the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay at the Transit Hotel.

Day 2: Chogoria - Meru Mount Kenya Lodge (Bandas)

After breakfast, you will board our 4×4 safari vans and drive to the edge of the bamboo forest, where your trekking adventure begins. From here, you will hike approximately 10 kilometers through the dense bamboo forest, enjoying the cool mountain air and the natural beauty of the surroundings as you make your way toward the Bandas.

You will arrive at the Bandas around lunchtime, where you can relax and enjoy your meal after the morning trek.

In the afternoon, you will take a nature walk around the lodge, offering beautiful views of Mount Kenya and the surrounding landscapes.

In the evening, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the Bandas. Accommodation includes single beds, hot showers, and a cozy bonfire in a self-catering setting, providing a comfortable and peaceful mountain experience.

Day 3: Meru Mount Kenya Lodge (Bandas) to Mintos Hut

After breakfast, we will depart from the lodge and begin our trek to Mintos Hut, covering a distance of approximately 15 km. The trail gradually ascends as we head further up the mountain, offering scenic views of the surrounding alpine landscapes.

After continuing the trek in the afternoon, we will arrive at Mintos Campsite, where we will settle in for the evening. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the campsite, allowing you to rest and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of Mount Kenya

Day 4: Mintos to Summit - Mackinders

After a pre-dawn breakfast, we depart from the campsite at 2:00 a.m. and begin the early morning ascent toward Point Lenana, the trekking summit of Mount Kenya. Reaching the summit at approximately 6:30 a.m., you will witness a breathtaking sunrise over the surrounding peaks and valleys, offering spectacular panoramic views.

We will spend 10–15 minutes at the summit for photography and to take in the remarkable scenery before beginning our descent. The route continues down via Austrian Hut and onward to Mackinders Camp.

Upon arrival at Mackinders Camp, you will enjoy a well-deserved breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful alpine views surrounding the camp.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at Mackinders Camp.

After breakfast, we will depart from the camp and begin our descent through the scenic moorland of Mount Kenya National Park. The trail passes through the beautiful Vertical Bogs, an area known for its unique alpine vegetation and expansive mountain views.

Continuing down the trail, we arrive at Met Station in time for lunch. The afternoon will be spent relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings after the descent.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at Met Station Lodge.
