Day 1 – Nairobi to Lake Nakuru

Depart from Nairobi at 09:30 hours and drive through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Nakuru Lodge in time for lunch.

At 16:00 hours, embark on an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, a soda lake renowned for its spectacular flamingo populations and over 400 bird species. From a distance, the lake often appears ringed in pink due to the thousands, sometimes millions, of flamingos.

Lake Nakuru is also a refuge for endangered species, including the Rothschild giraffe and black and white rhinos. Other wildlife commonly spotted during your game drive include lions, waterbucks, buffaloes, and baboons, making it a perfect introduction to Kenya’s wildlife.

During your drive, you are likely to see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, elephants, and many antelope species.

The Mara is also famed for the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti in search of water and pasture. This migration attracts the savanna’s predators, including lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures, offering a breathtaking natural spectacle.

After breakfast at the lodge, depart from Masai Mara and drive towards the Serengeti National Park via the Isebania border. Arrive at the border around lunchtime, where there will be a short 30-minute process for your Tanzanian visa.

Meet your Tanzanian driver/guide and continue the journey into the Serengeti. En route, enjoy a game drive, spotting wildlife as you travel through the iconic savannah. Upon arrival at Ikoma Wild Camp, located between the Grumeti and Ikorongo Game Reserves, settle in and take in the breathtaking views of the Serengeti plains.

In the evening, enjoy a short game drive around the camp area before returning for dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Wake up early for breakfast at the camp, then embark on a full-day game drive across the Serengeti’s vast plains. You will have a picnic lunch in the park, allowing you to spend more time observing the incredible wildlife without returning to the camp.

During the day, you can expect to see predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and buffaloes. The Serengeti is also home to over 500 bird species, so keep your binoculars handy.

Depending on the season, you may witness parts of the Great Migration, with wildebeest and zebra moving across the plains, and predators hunting along the way. The day offers multiple opportunities for photography and close wildlife encounters in their natural habitat.

Return to Ikoma Wild Camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After breakfast at the camp, depart the Serengeti and begin your drive toward Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, you may have an optional visit to a Maasai Village, where you can experience the local culture, enjoy a traditional dance performance, and purchase handcrafted curios.

Continue the journey to the crater, descending onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor for an unforgettable game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage site is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world, home to over 30,000 animals including lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, zebras, and wildebeests.

Take a packed lunch in the crater while observing the wildlife and the scenic views of Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner. After the game drive, ascend from the crater and transfer to your accommodation on the crater rim or nearby lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Upon arrival, embark on a half-day game drive in the park. Lake Manyara is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, large herds of elephants, and a rich diversity of wildlife including giraffes, baboons, buffaloes, impalas, and hippos. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted by flamingos, pelicans, and numerous other waterbirds that flock to the soda lake.

Stop for a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your exploration in the afternoon, capturing the stunning vistas of acacia-dotted woodlands and the lake shoreline.

After breakfast at 09:30 hrs, check out of your lodge and drive to Arusha, enjoying the scenic landscapes en route. Upon arrival in Arusha, stop for lunch at 12:00 hrs at Impala Hotel, giving you a chance to rest and refresh before your onward journey.

After lunch, connect to your shuttle bus to Nairobi. Sit back and relax as you travel back to Kenya, reflecting on the highlights of your safari adventure.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at Nairobi Safari Club, where you will stay overnight on a bed and breakfast basis. This marks the end of your guided safari tour.

Day 10 – Nairobi to Seychelles

Your day begins early with check-out at 06:15 hrs from Nairobi Safari Club, followed by a transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Arrive at the airport by 06:30 hrs to complete your flight check-in procedures.

Your flight to Seychelles departs at 08:30 hrs, taking you across the Indian Ocean to the idyllic islands. You are expected to arrive in Seychelles at 10:30 hrs, where you will be greeted and transferred to Berjaya Beau Vallon Hotel for check-in.

Spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the tropical surroundings. Overnight stay is at Berjaya Beau Vallon Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.

Return to your hotel in the evenings for delicious meals and relaxation. Overnight stays are at Berjaya Beau Vallon Hotel on a half-board meal plan basis, allowing you to enjoy breakfast and dinner while exploring the islands at your leisure.

Day 13 – Seychelles to Nairobi

After a final morning in paradise, check out of Berjaya Beau Vallon Hotel at 10:00 AM and transfer to Victoria Airport in Mahé. Complete check-in formalities for your flight departing at 12:30 PM to Nairobi.

Upon arrival in Nairobi at 4:30 PM, you will connect to your evening international flight home, bringing your unforgettable East Africa and Seychelles adventure to a close.
